A couple of days ago, the Pixel 7 Pro received Google Camera 8.7 update, bringing macro focus setting. As spotted by 9to5Google, this update is now rolling to the older Pixel phones. While the Macro mode is still exclusive to the Pixel 7 Pro, the update does bring a handful of changes to previous Pixel phones, all the way back to the 4a series. Apple’s star-studded series of in-store Music Labs created with top Apple Music artists will soon offer a session for Taylor Swift fans. Starting August 23, customers can sign up to learn about music creation by remixing Taylor Swift’s latest hit. “Music Lab: Remix Taylor Swift” is the third Today at Apple session to explore the creative process behind top musicians following collaborations with Madonna and Billie Eilish earlier this year. In the new session, Apple Store visitors will get hands-on time with GarageBand on iPhone to deconstruct Taylor Swift’s song “You Need To Calm Down....

A new video was recently posted on YouTube showcasing purported Lightning-enabled EarPods. This isn’t the first time that we’ve seen Lightning EarPods shown off, but it’s the first time that we’ve seen them showcased in action on video. The video shows the Lightning-enabled EarPods being used with an iPhone 6s. If Apple does end up producing Lightning-enabled EarPods, one would expect the version that ships with the iPhone 7 to contain an inline remote, and the EarPods on the video do....

A new app created by the supermarket chain Sainsbury’s is aiming to integrate the virtual and physical shopping process, allowing you to create shopping lists, be guided to those products in the store and to pay on your smartphone, skipping the checkout queues. It is currently being tested internally, with customer trials to follow early next year, initially in the UK. Sainsbury’s says that the app is all about saving time....

Samsung officially appointed a new CEO today to replace Choi Gee-Sung, who will now take up a position as head of corporate strategy overseeing Samsung Group’s roughly 80 companies. Choi, who was CEO for over three decades, will be replaced by Kwon Oh-hyun, who Reuters explained is currently head of Samsung’s components business and has deep relationships with Apple. Samsung made a statement claiming there will be no major changes in the way the company operates, because Kwon will continue to run the components business that “became the sole supplier of the mobile processors” for iPhone and iPad under his leadership:...

HTC is still a few months away from launching the successor of the One M8, but the specs of the handset have already made its way to the Internet. The leak comes courtesy of @upleaks, who has revealed the full internal specification of HTC’s upcoming flagship — codenamed Hima. The handset will feature a 5-inch Full HD display, and will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor comprising of four high performance Cortex A53 cores clocked at 2GHz and four low-powered A53 cores clocked at 1....
