Still maintaining the original Netflix “N,” this new logo will play before every Netflix Original film or series. Over the years, the Netflix logo has evolved considerably. In the earliest stages of the company, the logo started out with a black and purple film strap wrapping around the word “Netflix.” It later shifted to include the red, black, and white palette that users are currently familiar with (the logo that was printed on Netflix’s rental envelopes), and was then simplified even more in the mid-2010s....

New renders released by the City of Cupertino from Apple’s planning documents provide the most detailed view yet of what life inside the company’s new spaceship headquarters will be like. While Netflix’s Dracula provides a unique take on the vampire novel, one element that remains impassable is its strange relationship with the vampire’s sexuality. We posted images last month of what appeared to be a logic board for the next-generation iPhone showing an internal look at the A6 chip expected in the iPhone 5. New images of the logic board from HDBlog.it today show an A6 chip and what could be some of the other updated internal components of the iPhone 5. Earlier this year, we reported Apple was internally seeding a faster iPhone with 1GB of RAM and a variation of the A5x chip in the new iPad....

Vietnamese website Tinhte, which has a solid track record of getting its hands on pre-release Apple products and accurate mock ups,today posted what it claims are mock ups of two next-generation iPhones. One is the full-fledged “iPhone 5S” upgrade, while the other claims to show the much rumored low-cost “iPhone 5C” that we’ve been hearing a lot about recently. It’s worth noting that Tinhte says the source of the images, Vietnamese accessory supplier PhukienGiare, also supplied the publication with accurate pre-release mock ups of the iPad mini leading up to its launch....

After several long delays and an acquisition by Disney, New Mutants, featuring Charlie Heaton as Sam Guthrie, AKA Cannonball, is finally headed to theaters. As one of the core characters on the New Mutants, Cannonball hasn’t made it into live-action before, and Heaton gets to portray the character as he’s still learning to master his powers. Unfortunately, since the X-Men are expected to be rebooted to become a part of the rest of Disney’s Marvel Cinematic Universe, this could be Heaton’s only turn as the character, and possibly the only time we’ll even see Cannonball and we won’t see his intended impact on the future of the X-Men franchise....

The current cut of Fox’s The New Mutants has reportedly dropped all references to the studio’s X-Men movies, and could eventually become part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Writer-director Josh Boone’s adaptation of Chris Claremont and Bob McLeod’s X-Men spinoff comic books was one of the last Fox Marvel movies produced before the Disney-Fox deal was finalized in March, along with Dark Phoenix. The latter hit theaters in June and was poorly received by critics on its way to becoming Fox’s lowest-grossing X-Men film of all time....

Netflix is teaming with acclaimed anime director Yasuhiro Irie to create Eden, a new four-episode sci-fi anime currently set for release in 2020. This will continue Netflix’s recent push toward producing original anime content for both niche and mainstream audiences. Netflix is purportedly planning to spend $15 billion on content this year to enhance its slate of original content. Some of that $15 billion is going toward building up its anime content through collaborations with known anime talent like Irie, the director behind Eden....
