Shuffle options for media have been around for a long time, and Netflix has confirmed that it will be the latest to adopt the functionality. Called “Shuffle Play,” Netflix customers will be able to roll the dice on something to watch starting sometime in the first half of 2021. Reported by Variety, Netflix has been testing its Shuffle Play feature since last summer (and even earlier with Android). However it wasn’t clear if it would end up arriving for everyone....

A new report today from Storeteller offers photos of what is claimed to be Apple’s second retail location in the Chinese region of Macau. According to the report, the store is expected to be completed by the end of June. Apple’s first store in the region, located at the Galaxy Macau Resort, opened in June 2016. Today’s photos show a structure that would dwarf the resort’s indoor location and depict a large store, likely glass in construction, with an adjacent plaza....

NBC casts Michael Imperioli in Lincoln. The drama pilot is based on Jeffery Deaver’s Lincoln Rhyme book series, of which started with the 1997 novel The Bone Collector. From 1999 to 2007, Imperioli portrayed mobster Christopher Moltisanti on HBO’s The Sopranos. To date, 14 books in “The Bone Collector” series have been released, with the latest being The Cutting Edge (2018). The first book introduces a quadriplegic forensic criminalist named Lincoln Rhyme, who teams up with NYPD Patrol Officer Amelia Sachs to catch not only a serial killer, but also a copycat killer....

In a blog post, vice president of Content Delivery Architecture at Netflix David Fullagar shared his utopic vision of a platform where all of Netflix’s content is globally available, saying that if this were the case, there would not be a reason for members to use proxies or unblockers. “In coming weeks, those using proxies and unblockers will only be able to access the service in the country where they currently are,” Fullagar said....

The initial units of the HTC made Google Nexus 9 were criticized for their poor build quality, including a back that flexed easily in the middle, excessive backlit bleeding in the display, and hardware volume/power buttons being extremely hard to find and providing little to no feedback when pressed. Now, it looks like HTC has silently fixed these issues in the newest batch of the Nexus 9 tablet. According to a picture posted by a Reddit user, the difference between the volume buttons between his original Nexus 9 and the one built in November is pretty substantial....

On Friday, December 12, T-Mobile officially announced that the LTE-equipped Nexus 9 from HTC was officially on sale for $600 in the United States. Not to be outdone, apparently, Google has just launched the Nexus 9 with LTE. Google has the new tablet available now, but the search giant states that shipments will begin by December 19. As far as features go, the LTE variant of the Nexus 9 features 32GB of storage and only comes in black....

NBA player Stephen Curry doesn’t seem to mind which smartphone manufacturer wants to hire him to appear in ads. The Golden State Warriors player who appeared in an iPhone 6s video ad back in 2015 is now appearing in one for Android manufacturer Vivo. Both ads, interestingly, are about the camera capabilities of the respective phones. But while Curry may be happy to take ad money from the Chinese manufacturer, it seems he hasn’t actually switched allegiance when it comes to his own phone....
