The Nexus 6 from Motorola and Google was officially announced on Wednesday, October 16, and T-Mobile is a carrier prepared to launch the new smartphone soon. But the Magenta Carrier has one more trick up its sleeve. Following the official announcement of the new Nexus smartphone, along with T-Mobile’s confirmed support for the handset before the end of 2014, the carrier has also announced that the Nexus 6 will be the “first-ever Nexus device that will support Wi-Fi Calling.” Unfortunately, no exact dates were provided in the official announcement, but considering T-Mobile’s push for Wi-Fi Calling, one can only imagine it won’t be long after the start of the new year before the over the air (OTA) update lands. Do you plan on picking up a Nexus 6? Does the announcement of Wi-Fi Calling in T-Mobile’s version of the device sway your carrier choice at all?
