Our guide will provide you with a tier list of the best cars in Need for Speed: Unbound, including tips on how to unlock them. Note that all the cars listed below are top-tier, but some are simply have an edge over others.
S-Tier Cars
Bugatti Chiron Sport (2019)
Top Speed: 261 mph (420 km/h). Layout: Mid-Engine, AWD. Price: $3,665,000
If you want nothing but high level performance from your car, then Bugatti Chiron Sport is the best car you can get in Need for Speed: Unbound.
It has a massive acceleration, which allows you to reach 60 mph (100 km/h) in just 2.3 seconds, but it doesn’t mean that the handling is bad. On the contrary, Bugatti Chiron Sport has an 80% grip, which guarantees complete control on the road.
In order to unlock this incredible vehicle players will need to finish 35 S+ Tier playlists in online mode.
Koenigsegg Regera (2016)
Top Speed: 256 mph (412 km/h). Layout: Mid-Engine, RWD. Price: $1,500,000
Here is an example of the most successful electric sports car that boasts numerous innovative technologies, making it one of the best cars in the game.
It is only a tad slower than Bugatti Chiron, but also much more affordable. However, you will need to lower your expectations in regard to some of that handling, as Koenigsegg Regera can be a hard car to drive at times.
You will be able to unlock this vehicle after you finish 30 S+ Tier playlists in online mode.
A-Tier Cars
Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 (1988)
Top Speed: 232 mph (373 km/h). Layout: Front-Engine, RWD. Price: $350,000
There are two Mercedes-Benz 190E models in Need for Speed: Unbound. One of them is a stock model, which is nothing special, but this one is custom made with improved engine and overall performance.
The custom tuning makes this typical saloon 190E variant into a truly powerful racing car with some of the most reliable handling, which can really surprise you.
You can get this specific model after completing the “Always $trive And Prosper” quest given by A$AP Rocky.
McLaren P1 GTR (2015)
Top Speed: 225 mph (362 km/h). Layout: Mid-Engine, RWD. Price: $2,120,500
Here is a true hybrid sports car that can be easily compared to Bugatti Chiron, as it has many similar qualities, including speed, acceleration, and handling.
With such a powerful engine, players will be surprised just how easy it is to control P1 GTR. But this concerns only the highway surfaces, and if you move slightly offroad, you shouldn’t expect any of the benefits listed above anymore. That price is a bit much, too.
Players will unlock McLaren P1 GTR once they complete 30 mixed playlists in online mode.
Aston Martin Vulcan (2016)
Top Speed: 223 mph (359 km/h). Layout: Front-Engine, RWD. Price: $1,600,000
The stock variant of Aston Martin Vulcan is quite impressive, but this custom version is a tad better with an astonishing V12 engine performance.
The tuned version also has much better steering and overall control, although not without its own drama. For example, the brakes could be better, and once you slow down, the drivetrain may start being disagreeable.
Regardless, it is a card worth getting during the “Forged in Fire” quest given by Rydell.
B-Tier Cars
Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 (2021)
Top Speed: 221 mph (356 km/h). Layout: Mid-Engine, AWD. Price: $325,000
Both the stock and the custom variants of Lamborghini Countach are basically the same, so you can get either one, and both get the same excellent results.
The main reason why its not a top-tier car, as well as why it’s not priced as high as other supercars on our list, is the blunt chassis that makes it one of the most clumsy sports vehicles in the game, albeit with massive top speed and acceleration.
You can get it by either finishing the “Bull by the Horns” quest given by Rydell, or drift for 300 seconds in any other Lamborghini vehicle in online mode.
BMW M3 GTR “Legends” (2006)
Top Speed: 218 mph (351 km/h). Layout: Front-Engine, RWD. Price: $210,000
BMW M3 GTR is the favorite car of many Need for Speed players, but this time it is available only as a custom vehicle.
It has fantastic chassis with decent steering, strong engine response, as well as solid traction and precision. It could have a better handling offroad, but that shouldn’t be a problem overall.
